1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar techniques, such as local storage in your browser (localStorage), work in a comparable way. In this policy we refer to all of these as cookies.
2. In short: only functional cookies
noids uses only functional cookies that are necessary to make the webshop work and to provide the service you ask for. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking cookies, social media plugins or third-party pixels, and we do not build visitor profiles.
Under Dutch law (Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act) and the EU ePrivacy rules, no consent is required for functional cookies, but we must inform you about them. That is why you will not see a cookie consent banner on our webshop. The age check that appears when you enter the webshop is not a cookie banner.

The security system of our hosting provider may, in exceptional cases, place a temporary technical cookie to check that a visit is not automated (protection against bots and attacks). This cookie is used only for security and is also strictly necessary.
4. Managing and deleting cookies
You can delete cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings, and you can set your browser to block cookies. Please note: without the functional cookies, your shopping cart and login will not work, and the age check will be shown again on each visit.
5. Changes
If we ever want to use cookies that require consent, such as analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
